My largest, most time-intensive single piece to date, this freestanding unit was built with mostly solid construction to allow for the heavily carved and sculpted curves throughout. This buffet was crafted from just two pieces of phenomenal mahogany lumber. The lower doors and drawer fronts were veneered as bent panels, and the bronze door/drawer pulls were hand cast exclusively for this piece.

Much of the carving was aided by own designed and built carving machine. This piece was featured in Custom Furniture Source Book, Taunton Press, 2001, American Crafts Magazine, 2001, Woodwork, 2001, Wood Art Today by Donna Milach, 2003, and 500 Cabinets, Lark Books, 2009.
