Deco Hall Cabinet
23″w x 49 7/8″l x 15″d
mahogany, wenge, anigre and 11 additional species
Strongly influenced by art deco, this cabinet required exacting marquetry techniques using various wood species to provide the color for the door designs. Wenge legs with mahogany trim support the pomele sapele case crowned with a mahogany and sapele top. The maple interior shelving is laid out to allow the cabinet to be used as a liquor cabinet but not intended to limit it to such use.
This cabinet is a companion piece to the Deco Dining Tablet and was featured in American Crafts Magazine, 1999, Custom Furniture Source Book; Taunton Press, 2001 and Wood Art Today by Donna Milach, 2003.
