36″ StrataSphere Wind Sculpture on Pole
THIS SCULPTURE IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE. 36” diameter StrataSphere kinetic wind sculpture, follows on from the best-selling 26” edition. Grander in scale, this kinetic wind sculpture is made of brass tubing and large copper wind catchers that have it gracefully spinning with just the slightest of breezes. This StrataSphere brings interest and a unique artful addition to generous size landscapes and architecture.
StrataSphere wind sculpture has five independent revolving elements that use copper cones to capture air currents of almost any speed. Its movement is similar to gyroscopes within gyroscopes as the entire sculpture takes on a random yet graceful spinning motion in the wind. All joints are silver-brazed by hand for extraordinary strength. StrataSphere is made of brass, copper and stainless steel, all materials that will not rust. Precision miniature stainless steel ball bearings are used at all pivot points for friction-free movement.
